Our Story
Amy
I love a sunny day in a new place. I try to never turn down a good nap. Laughing is my favorite exercise. I wear many a hat, but dream of only ever being a housewife. My favorite advice to tell others is to always try a new thing at least once. I don’t always follow my own advice, but hey, have you ever eaten cow hide?
Dave
He’s a quiet and content guy, who likes a good puppy fail video and putting his feet up after a long day. He’s been all mine since 2010, although I do have to share him with the army. He takes pride in being a soldier, and I love him for it. If we can persuade him to lose the facial hair though…I’d be grateful.
Sherlock
My fat cat. I love him. We are working on a diet, with no apparent results. We also had Watson, once upon a time, his brother. But he ran away and was never heard of more….and I have decided not to forgive him for not coming home. They both came from the same litter in 2010, and Watson disappeared in 2016. Sherlock is a lazy but loud fuzz ball who likes to be left alone and only seeks attention when he’s hungry. He thinks love is food. And food is love.
Gizmo
Dave’s little dog. Only 7 pounds on a heavy day and barely the length of your arm, this little guy is a dedicated companion. Dave refers to him as his therapy dog. And maybe he is. They sure do love each other, and sometimes I tease Dave that he kisses his dog more than he kisses me. He’s been keeping Dave happy since 2011.
Sir Rumble Staccato Baltiko
The newest addition came to us, well me, on the September long weekend of 2020. That wasn’t a great year for anyone, but at least I got a kitten out of it. I didn’t tell Dave. He wasn’t home to stop me. This cat is soooo soft, I have to smush my face into him at least one hundred times a day. He lives up to his name. I love himb! (yes, himb.)
